What is Sherlock Holmes?
In Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective stories, a brilliant, witty, and ingenious sleuth plays an important role. His name is Sherlock Holmes, and he lives in London. He is a detective with a special sense of observation, and he is good at finding out what happened in the past.
When Sherlock Holmes receives a letter from a former client, he is shocked to find out that his client is the notorious “Wormser”, who is also the murderer of his father.
It seems that the case is quite clear. But Sherlock Holmes is not convinced. He is afraid that there is still a chance that the murderer is still alive. He decides to take the case.
What does Sherlock Holmes do in the stories?
In the Sherlock Holmes stories, the detective works on many different cases. He has to find the truth in the stories that he reads. He has to solve the case of the murder of his father. He has to find the missing girls. He has to find the criminal who killed his father.
